Loosening Valves

I just read a post about a suggestion to burn the Teflon in a ball valve to loosen it. DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!! It will release HIGHLY toxic gasses like hydrogen fluoride which can affect your bone marrow. Ball valve bodies simply screw together. To loosen them just unscrew the body halves one turn. That is what I did with mine. I also loosened the handle nut one turn.
