You also build the blower by yourself ? respect
I don´t know this design. But i don´t think it will help to produce the real among of gas your need for your 100kW engine?!
If you use a sidechannel blower with 1,5kW you will need 5 of them to produce the real among in my calculations.
i use only 1 running on half load.

Hi Pascal
I like experimenting (doing stuff hard way)
What type of fan can do the job depends from system size gas temperature and pressure drop less pressure drop need less suction power to drive the gas i will use wood block / billets for my first test so pressure drop will be significant lower than running on chips.
If i pull gas after cooling i think it is enough , for heart size i use, gas flow is about 40m3 min 250 m3 max per hour so i only need to run pass 40m3 volume to have good heart temperature for tar creaking.
I can always bay good quality blower

hi Johan.
On Blocks ? How you will made such a huge among of woodblocks ?
did your 100kW engine will run on the grid ? on full load you need 250m3/h constant.

Hi Pascal
Yes i will use Blocks but main fuel is Billets

For fuel preparation i will use slaves
or something like this
I plan to run system on grid.

Hi Johan
I´m not sure about the among wood in those boxes.
But i think you need one full box per hour to generate about 75kW.
can you describe what you mean with billets ?
regards Pascal

Hi Pascal
Wood consumption 1 to 1.3 kg 15% moisture wood per kw hour depends on wood type.
And...Billets is sliced max 75mm round wood

Hi forum,
I finaly find decent diesel truck engine to convert to spark ignition for my 100kw gasifier project, here some photos

And started with conversion , removing the heads to cut tread for spark plugs in the place of injectors.

Hi Johan
wow what a huge engine
Do you have the motor tested before disassemble?
you can operate the engine without spark plugs with diesel and gas together.
What changes to the engine? Also, the compression?

Hi Pascal
I tested the engine before i removed it from truck
For dual fuel it need about 4 liters of diesel per hour to haw good ignition ,i dont like to use diesel fuel so i will convert engine to wood gas only .Install spark plugs ,
electronic ignition and compression ratio will remain the same 15:1
