New Build - Isabella Mini Gas Station
Hi Wood Gassers,
I am frantically building before my shop becomes encased in ice and cold. This week I built up my little Isabella machine into a full system. The performance numbers were amazing! Here are the details.

I will embed the videos at this link. Isabella makes some SERIOUSLY high octane gas.

Re: New Build - Isabella Mini Gas Station
Hi Wood Gassers,
I had the Mini Gas Station running a chipper this afternoon:
It went quite well. When I was done the chipper started on gasoline on the first tug.
This is a terrible video showing the start up sequence:
Skip the first five minutes. The operator was an idiot.

Re: New Build - Isabella Mini Gas Station
Hey Stephen
Nice setup. Did you test the chipper under load?
Why do you have the air mixer so far mounted the engine? I think the engine would start much better when the air mixer would be mounted directly on the carburetor. Also switching on load would be much better. I have found in my tests as the best option. The condensation problem would also decrease because now the cool air is mixed with the wood gas very early.

Re: New Build - Isabella Mini Gas Station
Hi Pascal,
Absolutely! The long hose is a problem. Part of my experimenting is to figure out how much I can tolerate. I like the idea of being able to bring over anything I want to run as opposed to hard mounting the application, but there is a cost. I started with 8ft of hose but I am down to 6ft. I let the gas hose get too close to the engine exhaust. Ooops!!

Re: New Build - Isabella Mini Gas Station
Hey Stephen,
Why do not you just make a T-piece hose connector on the end. At this tee you fasten a quick release for the carburetor and the ball valve for the air supply. So you've got the same effect.
And no explosive gas / air mixture in long lines.
And just as easily be connected to any other engine.

Re: New Build - Isabella Mini Gas Station
Because I am collecting enough condensate in the carburetor sump to want to keep this setup as long as possible.
